A special early season for farm friends to purchase a pre-cut Fraser Fir. This year we will have pre-cut Frasers up 12 feet. November 25, 26, 27 9am-4pm
December 1, 2, 3, 4, 8, 9, 10, 11, 15, 16, 17, 18 9am-4pm

Regular Cutting Season (pre-tagged trees only). Pre-cut Frasers from North Carolina will also be available for anyone that did not pre-tag. Fields will be closed to everyone that did not pre-tag.

*During cutting season we are closed Monday-Wednesday.

Last Weekend of Tree Tagging AND now is the time to order your Thanksgiving Pies

November 9th and 10th will be the last tree tagging days of the season. Enjoy the beautiful fall weather and stroll amongst the trees and pick out your family’s favorite. Enjoy some delicious baked goods (donuts, cookies, drinks, etc) located in the Christmas Shop.

Pick a day and time that works for you and your family and avoid the worry and stress of getting a beautiful tree this season. Tree cutting reservations are now live!

For those that are not able to join us for pre-tagging, you can reserve your spot to cut your tree here at Moose Apple.

Your deposit/reservation fee is $50 and it will be deducted from the total tree cost. Your remaining balance will be paid when you come to pick and cut your tree.

Many have been asking, please rest assured we have an excellent selection of 6-8 foot tall trees!

Today is a perfect day to tag your Christmas tree and start your holiday shopping!

We have a recent addition to the store, meet our stuffie Moosie! We will have a limited number of these so come and get your before they are sold out!

We are open for tree tagging 10 am - 4 pm today and tomorrow.

The Norway Spruce is an iconic Christmas tree. This year’s Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree is a 70 year old 74 foot tall Norway Spruce that will be put up and decorated next week. We have thousands of much smaller 6-10ft gorgeous Norways that would make a perfect tree. The one pictured below is one of the trees we tagged and our family will cut on December 7th. It’s my favorite type of tree. When I think of the perfectly shaped tree I think of the Norway (this is Tyler’s opinion..Harriet likes the Concolor and Lee Ann likes the Blue Ice the best!)
Just a reminder that we have 2 more weekends of tree tagging. Come to the farm anytime between 10-4pm and receive a tagging kit (map, ribbon, tags) to assist you and your family to find and claim your perfect tree. You also can bring your own unique decorating materials or purchase some in our Christmas Shop. Once you tag your tree you will then make an appointment to come back and cut it. When visiting you can also pre-order and customize your wreath and we will have it ready for you when you return.
Important dates:
-Tree Tagging November 2-3 & 9-10
-November 4th. Reservations open up online to cut your tree for those that did not tag.
- November 23rd Opening Day!!
-Reservations will be required for all choose-n-cut trees in the field. -Reservations will not be required for our 6-13ft pre-cut Fraser Firs

Last weekend we had someone come all the way from Rhode Island to tag their tree! They will be coming back to pick it up and have a little slice of VA in the Northeast. We love our dedicated customers, thank you!

Last weekend we were fortunate enough to have this beautiful family come and tag their tree!

Fun story - the happy couple got engaged on the farm a few years ago and now it is their annual tradition to come and find the perfect tree and you can see their family has grown over that time! Christmas is a magical time of year and we love families making memories with us.

Tree tagging starts this Saturday, October 12!

100 Days until Christmas!
Nincy…one of Santa’s beloved Elves…came to do a field check at Moose Apple before our busy season gets started. With special cameras on the drone and Nincy’s magic, we are able to do tree counts by height in inches and check the overall health of the trees.
Here are our tree tagging dates for this fall. We will be open 10-5pm on the following weekends:
October 12-14
October 19-20
October 26-27
November 2-3
No reservations are needed to visit us and tag your tree. When you come to tag your tree you will then make a reservation to come back and cut it. Wreath ordering will also be available at this time.
For those that don’t have time to tag a tree prior to cutting, cut-your-own reservations will be available on our website starting November 4th.
Orders for large 12-13ft pre-cut Fraser Firs and custom made wreaths will also be available on our website as we get closer to the Holiday Season.
