My poor bees, first relocated, then neglected somewhat during a busy race season, finally, trying to survive Hurricane Helene. Got in my last big inspection day, and found 3 hives who died of starvation during the extended rain from that storm. :( Luckily I had several strong splits from summer so I still have 10 colonies with queens. Gonna spoil them with lots of thick syrupy sugar water the next few weeks so they can store up food for winter. 🐝💛

We've relocated our bees to Froggy Mountain, in the beautiful mountain town of Galax, Virginia. Hope to have our summer harvest ready late July!

Life keeps us super busy, but we do have a few offerings on our farm this fall. A dark, delicious late summer honey is out front in our honey stand at 2423 Crums Church Road, for $10 per 1 lb bottle, 3.5 lbs of fresh beeswax, 2 gotland ram lambs available, and several male & female angora bunnies up for sale! As a 2nd yr beekeeper I'm finding it takes more work, money and continued education than I anticipated to keep healthy hives, but it's also rewarding. Thanks to all who buy raw honey that supports local beekeepers instead of honey off the store shelf that's likely sourced in China and contains other sugars.

So excited that we finally have fresh spring raw honey! l still have a lot of bottling to do, but have enough done to get our little honey stand out. 🤗🐝$10 for a 1 lb bottle & you can just leave cash in the money box.

I'm bottling in plastic this year to keep the cost of my honey down, despite rising production costs. 😑
