Goodness it has been a while! We bought a lumber/hardware store so the farm has taken a break this year so we can focus the business. BUT we still have chickens and today we have chicks hatching! Mama has 7 eggs under her. I have another mama on 9 eggs due to hatch next Tuesday. These are pure bred speckled Sussex. These babies would make a fantastic group for someone looking to get laying hens. I don't need more chickens so I am asking $2 each. Today's babies will be ready to go Thursday. I can keep them until next Thursday if someone wants all of them as a group.

It's been a while since I've been on here! We've been just getting through this winter and planning for our future. Our chickens have started laying eggs again, so we have eggs available! $3.00/dz. They are a bit on the smaller size right now but they will be good sized in a few weeks for sure.

Many of you already know, but we lost our pig barn to a fire this morning including our sow and two babies. We are devastated but counting our blessings instead of our losses. We have chosen to step back for a bit and reevaluate where we go from here. So I will probably not be on the farm page for quite some time. Thank you all for your heartfelt prayers. They are felt here!

Well I was up most of the night and in the wee hours of Christmas Eve morning, we had 2 precious babies- a girl and a boy! Small litters are common for first time mamas.
