🎄 We know... it's a little early for Christmas carols. But planning for A Very Merry Berthoud starts months in advance, and we're excited to announce that SouthState Bank is returning as the Presenting Sponsor of the 2026 holiday festival!

Their support is helping bring another magical day of small-town holiday traditions to downtown Berthoud, from meeting Santa to the Parade of Lights and festive activities throughout the day on December 5th (mark your calendars!).

A HUGE thank you to SouthState Bank for investing in our community and helping make this event possible.

Interested in becoming a sponsor? There are still opportunities available to support A Very Merry Berthoud and showcase your business as part of one of Berthoud's signature community events.

2026 Berthoud Art Walk is a little over a month away on Saturday, September 5th 11am-4pm in Downtown Berthoud. The official 2026 Berthoud Poster featuring Kim Andrews' original artwork will be available the day of the event AND the original painting will be auctioned during the Wildfire Street Festival.

Kim Andrews shared with us her inspiration for “Our Town”:

I have lived in the Berthoud area west of town since 1983 and have enjoyed this drive to town to do personal errands, consume and shop for food, auto/farm parts and more. The feel of entering this town is indescribable and so I have tried to capture that feel in this painting. Enjoy!

As you enter our town from the west side and arrive at the traffic light at A&W and the Berthoud Police/South State Bank building, you are engulfed with the oldest Cottonwood trees and Pine trees in the town.

These trees cover the drive in as a canopy of protection. Underneath these protectors is a park with bronze sculptures of icons in our western heritage—a Cowboy Rancher, a Bull Elk, a Bear, plus more for all to enjoy.

As the canopy of trees subside, we enter through the red brick buildings that make up our downtown: eateries, bakery, restaurants of all cultures, breweries, antiques and second chance items, oldest church, art galleries, realty, professional services, hardware products, and more. Looking over the town you will see the iconic white grain tower. And as you look down the street wondering where it takes you to the plains and farms of the east, you may see a shining, freshly washed red fire truck waiting to serve our town community.
