Napa gets the headlines. The Front Range gets the wind.
Our location in Larimer County sits at the convergence of two distinct air masses โ the warm, dry downslope winds off the Rockies and the cooler moisture from the plains. The result is a micro-climate that dries out the canopy fast, keeping disease pressure low.
What that means practically: we don't fight botrytis the way winemakers in wetter regions do. Our challenge is water management and frost mitigation.
If you're scouting land for a hobby vineyard in Colorado, elevation and wind exposure matter as much as soil.
