🌸 Did you know what this is?

It’s an artichoke flower! 💜

The artichoke we normally eat is actually the unopened flower bud of the plant. If you leave it on the plant instead of harvesting it, this is what happens—it opens into this incredible purple bloom!

Toward the end of the season, some of our artichokes get too small to harvest for eating, so we let them bloom instead.

We’ll have a limited number of these unique artichoke flowers available in the farm store while they last! 💜

🍅 Okay, okay… I heard you! 😂

On our last tomato comparison video, I accidentally cut the two tomatoes differently—and quite a few of you noticed! So today we’re redeeming myself: same cut, same comparison, no excuses. 😂

Either way, our tomato harvest is in full swing and now is a great time to enjoy them!

🍅 Planning to can tomatoes this year? The time is NOW!

Bulk tomato boxes are available, and we’re currently picking plenty—but don’t wait too long. Tomato season can change quickly, and we may not have bulk quantities available a few weeks from now.

Right now we have:

🍅 Plenty of Roma tomatoes — perfect for sauce and canning
🍅 Regular red tomatoes — more bulk boxes available this week

30 lb. boxes — $40 each

If you’ve been waiting to make sauce, salsa, or canned tomatoes for the winter, now is the time to get your order in!

🍅 Sungold cherry tomatoes: a customer favorite… but maybe not a grower favorite! 😂

They’re incredibly sweet and packed with flavor, but they’re also notorious for cracking—which unfortunately means quite a few never make it from the field to the farm store.

We’ve tried other varieties over the years, but we just haven’t found one that can replace Sungold without sacrificing that flavor everyone loves. So we keep growing them!

Sungolds, cherry tomato mixes, slicing tomatoes, heirlooms, and more are all being harvested now and available in the farm store. 🍅

🌽 Happy 65th Birthday to Farmer Rex! 🎉

After doing some rough calculations, we figure that over the past 35 years on the farm, Farmer Rex has personally picked more than 650,000 ears of sweet corn! 🌽

And that’s just the corn he’s picked himself. We’ve grown plenty more over the years and, of course, have had a lot of great help along the way!

At 65, he’s still out there picking some days and helping keep the corn bench stocked!

If you see Farmer Rex around today, be sure to wish him a Happy Birthday! 🎂🌽

Every morning, we head out to hand-pick sweet corn so it’s as fresh as possible when it reaches our customers.
