Today marks a big step — our Ayam Cemani and young Zombie girls are moving into the big coop with the older flock! 🐓✨
Watching them explore, meet new flockmates, and start their place in the pecking order is why we love every careful step of raising these birds. 🖤

One fresh egg nestled in the hay, our new girl keeping her streak alive. 🥚
Outside, the coop rests under snow, bird prints tracing quiet paths, and a single red cardinal feather rests in the melting white. ❤️❄️
Winter’s hush, simple rhythms, and small signs of life everywhere. 🖤🪶

Chickens tucked away, coop quiet, and little snow cat footprints weaving through the yard. 👣
One of those cold days that feels calm instead of heavy — everyone safe, warm, and exactly where they’re supposed to be. 🖤🪶

Snowed in again, birds warm and settled, and another fresh egg waiting in the nest this morning. 🥚❄️
The house smells like sourdough sandwich bread cooling on the counter, the kind of day that feels slow in the best way. Simple rhythms, good food, and a flock that keeps showing up. 🖤🪶

Snowed in with a quiet coop and birds tucked in warm and dry. ❄️🪶
Still collected two fresh eggs today — steady girls doing their thing, even in the cold. 🥚🥚
Grateful for hardy birds, simple routines, and a flock that keeps going through winter.

First eggs always feel a little sacred. ✨
One of our new Zombie hens laid her very first egg, and all signs point to Blue — our girl with those striking blue earlobes and quiet confidence. Watching these lines step into their purpose never gets old. This is how it begins. 🥚🤍🐓
