🌻 Farmstand Report for Labor Day weekend🌻
We’re STILL OPEN! And apparently, we’re not quite ready to let summer go.
We’ll keep the farmstand going until we run out of the goods—and right now, we’re still going strong. The gardens are continuing to surprise us, the harvest baskets still fill up, and there’s plenty of good stuff making its way to the stand.
Here’s what you’ll find at the stand:

🥬 Celery heads — perfect to blanche & freezing for winter soups

So come on by, grab some fresh, local, organic goodness, maybe start stocking up for winter and help us keep this harvest season rolling. We’ll be here until the vegetables tell us otherwise.
Also, please consider joing the Mahoosuc Arts & Agricultural Tour on Sunday. Stop in and say hello, pick up some extra veggies, take a look around, and maybe pick your own carrots in the carrrot patch. We'll also be hosting 4 unique and interesting artists.

It’s been a busy week adjusting to life back at school, but don’t worry—we’re still here! 😊 We plan to keep the farmstand open at least through Labor Day weekend, so there’s still plenty of summer goodness to enjoy.
Mike and Vern held down the fort this week, picking, washing, packing, and keeping the veggies coming.

You know it’s going to be a special day when you get to work with the dream team! 💚
Today we had not only our great helper Mike Jones, but we had the wonderful Hope Batcheller also lending a hand. You may recognize Hope from the Bethel Farmers’ Market, where she dazzles everyone with her delicious homegrown and homemade sauces and dips. We were so happy to have her with us!
And we’re stoked to say LETTUCE IS BACK! 🥬🙌
Plus, the arugula is ready, and our coolers will be packed with lots of fresh greens.
After harvesting, Vern and Hope started to say au revoir to some of the cukes. They are fading fast, and It's time to wipe out, refresh beds and plant winter greenhouse goodies.

Farmstand Offerings 8/13 & 14
We were hopeful that the new lettuce beds would be ready to start harvesting but it really needs another week. Bummer!
But, we are excited to see our pole beans coming on strong. They are much later than a bush bean but far easier to pick. They also will keep producing all fall. Worth the wait!
If you ever need a tomato fix midweek, stop by the Good Food Store & Catering Co. We've been delivering tomatoes and sometimes cukes to them weekly. Finglerling potatoes may be on the docket as well!

Omg. What a difference. We decided to change the closing time of the stand from 5 to 4 pm. We always felt we were wasting our time sitting around waiting for pickup at 5 and our dinners always went to sh”t. Literally, our dinner was an organic hot dog. If that. Who wants to start cooking a big meal at 5:30 after pickup and doing the MOFGA record keeping in the hot summer after you’ve been up harvesting since 6:15 am?
What a difference in our quality of dinner tonight. We had time to chop, cook and feed us all of the organic good stuff!
You’ve got to feed the farmer.

Farmstand Update August 7th & 8th
The tomatoes will be abundant this week. We have a variety of beefsteak, yellows and Cherokee Purple. Tomatoes will be weighed, sorted and priced accordingly.
Check out the new leeks, shishimai peppers and dill heads for pickling.
In addition:

Scallions- last bundles then sold out

Lettuce mix (low stock, we've been burning through some lettuce! A new batch is almost ready.)

Farmstand update for July 24th & 25th
The 2026 garlic harvest is complete. Now for the curing and sorting which can be daunting and mundane but one of my favorite jobs of the season. The empty garlic beds have already been weeded, lightly tilled, fertilized and will be planted out with more carrots and lettuce before the weekend is over.

This week's motto: Much of the same, just more of it!
