🥶❄️ “What do you do with your cows when it’s this cold?” ❄️🥶
We get asked this all the time, so here’s the real answer 👇
🐄 Cows are actually made for cold weather.
They grow thick winter coats that keep them warm way better than people expect.
🌬️ Our barns block the wind but stay open for fresh air.
Believe it or not, cows do better with cool temps and good airflow than being closed up tight.
🥣 When it’s cold, they eat more.
More feed = more energy = staying warm and healthy.
💧 Warm water matters more than people realize.
When water isn’t frozen, cows drink more which keeps them feeling good and producing milk.
🛏️ Dry bedding is a big deal.
Warm, dry, and clean goes a long way on cold days.
Fun fact: cows are usually more comfortable in winter than during hot summer weather ❄️🐄
Just another day on the dairy farm, no matter the temperature 🥛🌾
