We have been getting a lot of inquiries about the orchard this week, and it is with a heavy heart that I regret to inform those that are unaware, Ira passed away suddenly in an accident earlier this year. Unfortunately due to other obligations and a variety of other reasons, we are not open long this year. Several people have reached out offering to help in various ways and we would like to say thank you very much to everyone offering up their time and energy to help out in the orchard, however given the sudden loss of our Father and all that entails we simply had too much on our plate this year to manage and run the orchard. We are unsure what next year will bring, but we are exploring options and to keep it running in the future in some capacity. We will keep everyone posted for next year, we are very sorry we will not see you all this year and hope for better news next Autumn. Thank you everyone for your support.

Dear friends,

Just a reminder that tomorrow is our father, Ira’s, celebration of life. Despite the snowstorm, we will still be going ahead with the event at the American Legion Post 68. Please stay safe, we look forward to seeing you if you are able to make it.

Thank you,

With heavy hearts we share the passing of our father, Ira A. Gibson, in a tragic accident on Tuesday morning. Many of you knew him as a dedicated and kind man, deeply committed to his orchard, his family, his friends, and his community.

We are grateful for all who had the privilege of knowing him. The orchard was his greatest passion, he loved connecting with the families who visited and getting to know new customers who supported us. His warmth and smile will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

We hope to keep the orchard running in his honor, preserving the legacy he helped build.

We miss you, Dad.

Keep an eye on the local newspaper for obituary and service details. Another post will follow with information regarding Ira’s wake on February 16.

Help us clear out the rest of our apples! We are dropping the price of anything still on the tree to 1.25 starting today until the end of the season! We still have quite a few out there, but we are winding down soon. Come get one last donut or jug of cider, we still have both!
