The weather this spring was very different with hot days in the 90's back to a cold freeze. I wonder what the color of the honey will be this season. Will it be a light white clover ? Will it be a medium color or a dark ? The nectar flow has been wonky but the bees are thriving and super busy. We are lucky to have a water source and a lot of blooming plants in a 3 mile radius including an apple orchard . We shall see

Before the Maple Goodness begins this weekend, we have a few dozen 2025 Spring honey bears left .

The bees have survived so far and we hope to see signs of them collecting pollen as soon as the snow melts. Witch hazel is always a first food for them, and it should bloom soon.

Spring honey was bottled 7/2025 and has thickened but is not crystallized more than average or solid. Raw, local honey begins to change as soon as it hits air post comb removal so it has thickened which is easily broken with some warm water baths.

Let me know if you are still in need for your tea or sore throat coat
