It’s officially opening day here at Miller Mums! The mums are just starting to show a little color. We will be open daily from 9am until 7pm. With the exception of being closed on Sundays. I do have to leave every school day from 2:30-3:30 for school pickup. It helps a lot if you contact me before coming out to the mum patch just because we are operating a farm and can sometimes be found out in the pastures or down at the barn. We are looking forward to seeing everyone this year! Thanks and God Bless.

This weather has made it feel like it’s mum season! Mums love the cooler weather and will start blooming more and more as we near opening day! Just wanted to post an updated pricing list for this year!

Single mums: $13
Hanging baskets: $15
Large double mums: $22
Large triple mums: $28

Double mum color combinations include:
Pink/yellow, gold/orange, bronze/orange,
white/yellow, and gold/orange

Please message or call for wholesale pricing if you might be interested in doing a fundraiser. (Minimum of 50 mums)

Happy Fourth of July to each and everyone!

Over at Miller Mums it has been a challenge to the start of the growing season. Our mums were potted the first week of June when the rains settled in and didn’t seem to leave for quite some time. Mums thrive in warm dry weather.

Every pot gets watered daily and each pot is checked to make sure the water system is in place as it should be. At times, cats and rabbits and other night animals sneak onto the mum patch and can tip pots over and pull the watering stakes out. So it’s imperative to walk the patch each day.

Not only are we looking for mess ups that may have been caused by some creatures the night before, but we are also scouting for plant diseases, insect prevalence, and nutrient disorders. As the plants get bigger, we follow a plan to increase the fertilizer each plant gets in order to meet the nutritional needs. It’s a little bit like shooting at a moving target. But we enjoy it.

Greetings from Miller Mums! We hope that all the friends we have made over the last several years are doing well and safe from the areas recent weather events.
Shortly after we sell our flowers to you in the fall we are planning for the next year’s mum crop. Just about all of the supplies are bought prior to Christmas. Then it turns into a waiting game. But the wait is over!
The supplies are on site and the plants will be on the farm within the week. It’s always exciting to get the new crop started and on their way to your porch or flower bed.
We have made a few adjustments this year to provide the highest quality mum we can. We take pride in our work and enjoy growing top quality mums as much as you enjoy admiring them. Let Miller Mums be the mums of your choice!
