Tonight we had some of our home grown pasture raised chicken for dinner. Seasoned and grilled. We also had some rice and grilled veggies. This is the best tasting, juiciest chicken I have ever had! There’s just nothing like it!

🐣 Growing the Flock at Farm Faraway Homestead! 🐣

Today’s farm project was moving our meat bird house out to the backyard so it can serve a new purpose for the next week or two!

Our first three batches of young layer chicks have outgrown their brooder and are now enjoying a little more space as they continue to grow and feather out. They’ll stay here until they’re big enough and ready to safely join the rest of our laying flock.

It’s always exciting to watch the next generation of hens grow up—every chick brings us one step closer to even more fresh farm eggs in the future! 🥚🌱
