❀️GUINEA PIG ADOPTION DAY!! πŸ€— Finally we have found a friend for our rescue guinea pig πŸ’—MissyπŸ’—. She has been a delightful addition to BVF since this spring. She came from a wonderful family who loved her dearly, but wanted to give her a more active and happy life with other animals. Guinea pigs are herd animals so they need to be around more then one for social and emotional well-being. We've been looking for a match and yesterday was the day! Meet Jerry everyone!! πŸ₯³β€οΈ We gave them a meet and greet to get to know one another and they hit it off beautifully 😍. I'm so happy for this new found friendship. πŸŒŽπŸ’—πŸ™πŸ–πŸΎπŸŒˆπŸ’—πŸ€—βœ¨οΈ

Just another beautiful day here at BVF! The chick's are getting so big. We're working on the outside run currently. A storm destroyed the roof last week. Everyone is safe and happy 😊, that's all that matters. πŸ™β€οΈβœοΈπŸ™Œ Hopefully I will get some more plants in the ground this week. More apple 🍎 trees 🌳 and veggies are on the way. What do you do with your extra eggs? πŸ€” Chickens, turkeys πŸ¦ƒ and all birds that lay eggs need lots of calcium to produce the egg. They also need calcium for healthy bones and feathers πŸͺΆ. When we have a surplus of eggs, we never let them go to waste. I cook up an easy batch of scrambled eggs πŸ₯š 🍳 with the eggshells broken up and mixed in. They consume the shells and all the calcium back into their body. Not only is this a great treat they LOVE ❀️ πŸ“, it’s giving them the nutrients they need while saving money on feed and supplements. We also feed the extra eggs to our dogs 🐢 as well. Everyone here at BVF loves EXTRA EGG DAY!! πŸ€—βœ¨πŸ₯šπŸ’«β€οΈ
