We are at Monroe Farmers' Market today 3pm - 6pm. Come down, buy fresh, and support pediatric cancer awareness 💛💛

September is Pediatric Cancer Awareness month and this has deep roots in our little Volunteer 'girl gang' 💛

Our beloved Harbron family will be leading the 'Hope Grows Here' initiative to raise awareness, celebrate our littlest warriors, and encourage customers to write heartfelt prayers and wishes on a banner to be hung at the Pediatric Oncology floor at Yale Children's Hospital.

You'll find them over at the big bubble party and don't forget to give (or get!) hugs from from 4:00-5:30. The will also be there sharing the ways they are also serve as a resource within our community.

The next time you buy milk, think about the farm you’ll never see.

The one that got up before daylight. The one that cared for a sick cow through the night. The one that produced a perishable product every single day—and had to find a buyer for it every single day.

Now imagine that farm loses its market. The cows still need milking tomorrow. The bills still come due. But milk cannot sit in a warehouse while the farmer negotiates a better deal.

That is why market access matters. That is why deductions from a farmer’s milk check matter. And that is why farmers deserve clear answers about who holds power between the barn and the grocery shelf.

Consumers are told to support family farms. I’m asking you to do one more thing: stand with farmers when they ask to see where the money goes and how the terms are set.

Because by the time the little farms disappear from the view out your car window, it is too late to ask what happened to them.
