Fresh from the coop 🥚🩵

We’ve had a pretty heartbreaking few days here at the farm. Mr. Fox paid us a couple visits and we lost several of our girls. We’ve always chosen to free range because we love watching our chickens do what they’re meant to do — roam, scratch around, and enjoy being chickens. It’s what we’ve always wanted for them.

Farm life isn’t always the pretty pictures and fresh eggs. Sometimes it comes with hard lessons and hard days too. We’ve made changes, everyone is secured now, and we’re already trying to figure out the next step — how to let them safely enjoy the outdoors without predators getting to them.

For now, we’re holding our flock a little closer, feeling extra thankful for the girls we still have, and appreciating these fresh eggs a little more today ❤️🐓🥚
