When your beer needs coffee, you go straight to the source. ☕🍺

Rich and I stopped in to visit Mike Adams at Firehouse Coffee, the man behind the coffee we use in our Bourbon Barrel Coffee Stout!

Mike has been a great local partner and has also joined us as a vendor at our beer festivals. If you’ve only tasted his coffee in our stout, do yourself a favor and stop by Firehouse Coffee to see what else he’s roasting.

Our Head Brewer Josh Bushey teamed up with Matt McCall, Head Brewer at McCall Collective Brewing Co in Allentown, for a beer they’d both been wanting to make for a while: a Dark Mexican Lager.

🌽 Brewed with a solid amount of corn
❄️ Cold fermented with our house lager yeast for 8 weeks
🌿 Lightly hopped with Motueka from Freestyle Hops

The Motueka brought such a great juicy lime aroma on brew day that it had to make its way into the beer — but just enough to keep this firmly in lager territory.

Clean and crisp with flavors of well-done wheat toast, caramel candy, balancing bitterness, and a light tropical lime finish.
