Fancy outdid herself last night! After a full day at the ball field with my 2 legged kids 😆, we came home to Fancy in labor! Coldest night in April, go figure. That’s called doe code. I’m not prepared for cold night births here so I asked my goat bestie to borrow her premier one heat lamp and I left to get it. I was gone maybe 30 min. When I got back I could hear a crying baby. 🥰 She had already had two and one was DOA. Sometimes that happens. I had figured all along she was gonna have 3 or 4, but they kept coming and coming 😳😳. FIVE!!!!! She had FIVE!!! 4 bucklings and 1 doeling. All blue eyed. All the kids were right there to watch and help, Sawyer was on his knees with me holding the light. The third baby (doeling) was breach. It was pretty tough getting her out, but we did it and she’s getting along well. I took this picture before I went to bed. I can’t wait to get more during the day so we can see how pretty their colors are. We are so thankful for a healthy litter.
