Keith has brought laughter, great stories, and been a true example of what small-town hospitality should look like. As we dislike to admit, the brewery and restaurant world is a revolving door, and now it’s Keith’s time to step into his next chapter

is the ONLY wildlife rehabilitation focusing on mammals in the NW Michigan region. Their mission is “To rehabilitate and restore Northern Michigan’s wildlife and to connect people to nature”

This Saturday 4/11/26 / 1pm - 3pm visit Five Shores Brewing to support this ongoing non-profit’s mission. There will be:
-Games
-Face and Arm painting
-Ambassador Animals! (A groundhog, opossum, flying squirrels, and a broad-winged hawk)

Five Shores has HIRED Chef Doug Moody!
READ THE DETAILS👇

We’re excited to welcome Doug Moody to the team. Born and raised in Midland, Michigan, Doug brings both deep local roots and a broad range of high-level culinary experience to his new role. He began his career at Lil Chef before joining Midland Country Club in 2013, where he developed his foundation in a professional kitchen and worked his way up to Executive Sous Chef.

Doug’s career has since taken him to some of the most demanding and high-profile culinary environments in the country and abroad. He has contributed to elite teams supporting major events including the Master’s Tournament, Formula 1 Miami, and the Indy 500, and spent a year leading catering operations at Ford Field. These experiences shaped his ability to execute at scale while maintaining quality, consistency, and strong team leadership.

Now returning to Michigan to put down long-term roots, Doug is excited to bring fresh energy, bold flavors, and a disciplined culinary approach to the kitchen. He looks forward to building something special and creating a food program that reflects both his experience and the community he calls home.

Yes, Chef Doug is going to change some things on our menu…but we wouldn’t have hired him if it didn’t sound delicious 🤤
