What do you get when you trust me with your massage and herbal health needs?

A massage therapist with more than 20 years of experience caring for clients ranging from 2 days old to 100+. I am trained in many types of massage and will tailor your treatment to your specific needs at the time of your appointment. I am happy to listen to what is going on with you or offer you a nearly silent time (I do have to check in with how the massage is settling in with you).

You will be on the table of a highly skilled energy worker offering Reiki and chakra balancing sessions. I have been a Reiki Master for more than 12 years now with some pretty amazing experiences under my belt.

I am a well trained medicinal herbalist with decades of self exploration followed by professional classes from the New Eden School of Natural Health and Herbal Studies completing their Medicinal Herbalist program. I then
rounded out my experience with a 1 year apprenticeship with Constance Ferry at her Hobbit Gardens Erth Gathering Center. In a time when everywhere you turn there is the latest a great herb that is going to fix ALL of your troubles, please, find someone that cares more about how much money they will make from you. Herbs are not one size fits all and you should not waste your money on things you do not need. Herbs need to be chosen for the individual. I will give you my honest views based on my years of education.

My chosen path in life is to care for humans in a loving respectful manner while honoring our Mother Earth from which we are totally reliant on for our well-being. Please, reach out if you would like more information. I have an office in McConnelsville but those appointment times stay pretty booked. If you would like a lovely drive in the country, I would be delighted to welcome you to my farm.

Terrific Tuesday to you!

**UPDATE***

It is STILL a great day but after making the original post, things got wiggly. Spots on the drive where my car had been parked needed to be examined as I had oil changed yesterday (Dave thinks it's fine). Nearly hit a box turtle going around a sharp turn on 339. Of course I had to go back to get it out on harms way (moved it off in the direction it was going) and managed to be out of the way when a car came around). But, that allowed me time to go home for new shoes when my sandal broke while getting out of the car. Thank you turtle for allowing me to have footware at work today... lol. Ya gotta find the blessings!!

Some mornings are chaotic trying to get out the door on my days working in town.

Today was NOT one of them. I wandered and meandered while doing my Barn Beastie chores. I picked and I plucked, taking time to create a bouquet for my office. I stopped to smell the .....eh ...chamomile. I pet and patted my rodent control team.

It's already a good day.

Busy, busy several days. It was time to stock up on soaps and shampoos. I now have 4 double batches of soaps to cut tomorrow and 2 batches of shampoo bars to turn out in the morning. I have been contracted to create custom soaps, teas and even a shave cream for The Castle Museum. The soaps are curing, the tea has been formulated and the shave cream will be addressed in the next week or so. This is what a busy soap makers kitchen looks like!

And....I tried to hold off showing pictures but I just CAN'T! This was my mother's davenport. According to Erin, her grandma had a couch or sofa in the family room but the formal livingroom had a davenport. Erin took naps there from her days as a toddler and it was long enough for her very tall self. She has lent me it to use in the cabin until she has a home to properly enjoy it. It was old, gold brocade. That is been replaced by the lovely blue/green nubbly fabric. This was my first time working on a tufted piece of furniture and I've enjoyed the process.

Quiz time! Don't use the internet to answer this!!! What is the trim called that you use to finish the edges of upholstered furniture?

I had to order more of it to complete the work and I have 1 more seat cushions to sew a cover for. I will be so happy to have this piece down in the cabin soon.

Good morning! I'm collecting signatures on a petition to add an Amendment to our State Constitution to limit the size of data centers that can be built in Ohio. If you would be willing to sign it, please contact me. I must witness the signing so it's not something I can forward to you nor can I mail it. If you are a client or customer we can do that when you see me. I'm happy to make time if coming out to the farm works for you, also. I will be looking at my schedule to carve out some time to be in my office in McConnelsville specifically to collect signatures. If you work in McConnelsville I will even try to find time to hop by to get your signature.

All signatures must be from registered voters in Ohio. Your signature must exactly match how your name is on that registration.

No worries at all if you are not interested in signing this. It is something I feel strongly about so I have volunteered to help out.

After starting this year off a bit shaky with a frightening health situation (I am fine) I've deemed this my year to try not to be a hypocrit. If I tell others they need to take time to care for themselves I had better be setting the example. I've been getting lectures from friends and I am listening.
I have kajillion projects here at home that I coulda shoulda attend to. I stopped working on those late afternoon and took time for just me. I put my butt on a yoga mat and spent an hour being guided through a ReStorative Yoga session at Village Fitness. Yep, I teach it so I COULD have just done it at home. But that wasn't what I needed. I needed to listen to Debbie's calm voice. I needed those cozy warm blankets. I needed to just "be" for a bit.
It was PERFECT. I will sleep soundly tonight and get back to my shoulda woulda list in the morning.

In case you didn't know...... when a community comes together we can be VERY powerful. This alpaca farm was the beginning of my dive Down the Rabbit Hole when it came to alpacas. I am thrilled that they were able to keep a gun range from being built near them.

I am NOT against shooting ranges or guns! Just not going into areas with established, quiet business and residences.

The proposed shooting range was denied. We are so grateful to everyone who offered so much support in the form of letters, sharing awareness, knowledge, and compassion. If there’s a lesson in this, I think it’s never underestimate the power of community. We’re proud of Madison County and thankful our Board of Supervisors and Zoning Board diligently determined this was a poor location for this proposal.

Well this isn’t REALLY a “Fire Sale” but I am going to let go of some of my products at a discounted rate! The final push to have the cabin ready for rental is at hand…..that means more expenses! I have created it debt free so far and would like to finish that way! Dave and I can put in all the sweat equity but funds are still required…LOL!

Contact me here or send me a txt (317-502-1277) if you would like to purchase any of the following. We can arrange for pickup, delivery or shipping. I can accept Venmo, Zelle, cash, check and credit cards (with a small fee to cover a portion of processing expenses).

First up is my final few skeins of 100% alpaca 2-ply yarn. The rest sold for $23.50 per 200 yard skein but I will part with the remaining for just $18 each. I have 3 black (Santa and Thora), 5 white/cream (Eli), 7 tweed (black with tan from Orla) and 2 soft purple grey (Eli colored with concorde grape skins). Alpaca fiber is INCREDIBLY soft, 3 x warmer than most other wool fiber, and SUPER light weight. Think mittens, hats, scarves, shawls and delicate sweaters. Lighter and less itchy than wool!

Bountiful Bath Oil (Sandalwood)~ Calendula infused light oil make this a luxurious, skin quenching oil that will promote healing. I only have 1 of these left. Originally $18.50, I will part with this 8 oz bottle for $15

Flower shaped soaps ~ Larger than my hand cut bars and pretty as can be, I have 3 scents left. Peony (2), Lavender (2) and Lilac (1). Normally $8, these are discounted to 6

Kitchen hand soap ~ I try to keep this in my kitchen personally. It is infused with oregano, rosemary and basil so, not only does it smell great, it has higher antibacterial and antimicrobial elements. Normally $6.50 now $6

Small lotion bars - Have you tried solid lotion yet? It goes on easily, absorbs quickly with no greasy feel and is truly protective and nourishing for your skin! Mine is made with shea butter, coconut oil, yarrow, beeswax, arrowroot powder, vitamin C and natural essential oils (if scented). These small size are usually $4.50 but you can pick them up until this batch is gone for just $3.00! I currently have 5 unscented, 7 lavender and 1 sandalwood left.

Fire Cider ~ a folk remedy favorite for battling the yuck that sometimes creeps into our chests and sinus, this is my version of recipes that have existed for many, many decades. A legal battle was even fought over the use of the name “Fire Cide” when a greedy entrepreneur thought they would corner the market a few years ago. Made up of hot and spicy herbs and tangy fruits all preserved in apple cider vinegar, many of my clients take a daily dose to stay ahead of the yuck. This is an 8 oz bottle either “as is” or sweetened with local honey. Normally priced at $24.50 I am willing to let the rest of this batch go for $20 each. There are 8 each of the “Regular” and “Sweenened.” Not only is this a great medicinal product but I LOVE using it to make an oil and vinegar salad dressing!!! A bit of zip between your lips!

Thank you for your patronage and trust in my skills as an herbalist. Your purchases are helping my dream cabin come to life. My plans to have that space bless others are dependent on my sales.

Hugs!
