Several of our culinary students had the opportunity to attend a field trip yesterday, and it was such a meaningful experience! One of our stops was Procopio’s Pizza & Pasta restaurant.

A few weeks ago, students learned about regional and international cuisine, including cannolis. When Miss Gadberry asked if anyone had ever tried one before, almost all of the students said they hadn’t. Even more surprising—none of them had ever been to Procopio’s!

We are so glad these students had the chance to step outside their comfort zones, visit a locally owned restaurant, and try something new. Experiences like this are what make learning come to life ❤️

A special thank you to Procopio for taking the time to speak with our students about his culinary career and, of course, cannolis! And thank you to the wonderful staff who took such great care of us.

Hello Facebook friends!
The culinary students will be ordering ball caps to wear in the kitchens during our cooking labs. Several students have made the comment that they would love to have one but cannot afford to purchase one. They’re $17 each and the orders are due this Friday, August 22nd. Please reach out if you would like to support our students by purchasing a ball cap for them to wear in the kitchens or share this post to get the word out. We appreciate all your support!
