I had not sprayed Agita since sometime last summer. I decided it was time. I had only seen a few flies but decided to spray when I had time. It is absolutely amazing to me all the flies we had that we didn’t even realize.

If you’re heading to Junior Nationals make sure you take it along and spray your stalls as your week will be so much more enjoyable!

I do not know how Killdeer are not extinct.
Mama Killdeer decided the gravel smack dab in the middle of the alley is a good place for a nest.
I have been putting a feed pan over her eggs when we need to move cattle. The eggs and nest are so camouflaged in the gravel you would not be able to see them if she wasn’t there screaming at me. She does a great broken wing dance as she’s coming after me. Tuesday there were 3 eggs, today there are 4. They usually lay 4 eggs per clutch so I now know that we have 3-4 more weeks of protecting her nest.
It is going to be nearly impossible with the location she’s chosen. When we have had nests in the driveway, I have been able to make a protection so they can hatch and go on their way.
We will try our best to let her hatch them safely. But our 4 legged cow friends don’t seem to care as much about some bird eggs as we do.
