Collecting the sap from the maple trees is where it all starts. However, its not like it used to be in the beginning when they used buckets to collect the sap. Now they use yards and yards (maybe even miles) of tubing that winds through the trees where the sap runs into and through it to a bulk tank that, when full, transfers the sap to the next tank that begins the processing of the syrup. Did you know that it takes 40 gallons of sap to make one gallon of syrup?

We thought it would be fun to share some of the process that goes into making the syrup that you buy from us. It only makes sense to share a reel that shows you exactly where the syrup comes from.
