We have freezer beef available by the 1/4, 1/2 or whole. With $4.85 per lb hanging weight, that price covers processing also. Cut and packaged to your specifications. These are grain fed and grain finished angus cross steers being butchered. We are getting the beef processed at Ebels in Falmouth Michigan. We are located in Paris Michigan. 5 miles south of Reed City

This is a rough estimate of what a customer will get back for meat and also a range of what total cost is. *Hanging weight is the weight of the customer’s beef before it is trimmed and packaged into the customer’s preferred final take home cuts*

1/2 beef

1/2 beef hanging weight - roughly 400 lbs- 450lbs

Take home meat - roughly 210lbs - 240 lbs of meat

Rough price total range $1,940-$2,182.50

1/4 beef hanging weight - roughly 200 lbs -225lbs

Take home meat roughly 120 lbs of meat

Goat Update!

Buttercup’s bucklings, Brownie and Cola seem to be growing great. Cola’s leg seems to be healing and he is starting to put weight on it. Hoping for a full recovery. He is still running around and playing with his brother. Buttercup is still of course very food motivated and loves treats plus lots of pets and snuggles. And yes, she only has 1 horn. Her other one fell off when we banded them and this one decided to stick around. For now, she’s just a unicorn until we get this one banded.

Mama’s babies are overall doing well. Unfortunately we lost the smallest one, the little black buckling as he was just smaller than the other two and weaker. Both doelings are very lively and nursing good. They enjoyed some snuggles and pets from the kids today.

Cookie enjoyed some sunbathing in his outdoor pen and I think all of our goats are eager to get on some green grass. Very soon!

We may or may not have miscalculated Mama’s due date initially and had to scramble to make sure her pen was ready for her this week. Tonight, Mama had triplets. 2 doelings and 1 buckling. All seem to be up and doing well. Mama enjoyed some warm molasses water for a nice energy boost after labor.

Cookie has been staring at mama through the gate and I think he’s unsure about being a first time dad. We look forward to watching everyone mingle when all the babies are big enough.

Assuming everyone is healthy and grows well, 1 of the doelings and the buckling will be for sale. We will post them when they are around 8 weeks old and they’ll be ready to go to their new home around 12 weeks old.

Goat Update!

We decided to name our bucklings, Brownie (the tricolored one) and Cola (the black one). They will be 2 months old tomorrow. Crazy how big they’ve gotten already. Cola is the more skittish one but brownie is a very curious boy and likes to try to lick the camera through the door panel.

We have not decided what to do with Cola yet, as he seems to have hurt his leg yesterday so we are holding onto him for now so we can doctor it and get him healed up. We most likely will not offer him as a buckling, but potentially as a wether in the future.

Brownie is currently for sale as a buckling. He is 8 weeks old. He will be receiving his first CD&T vaccine this weekend and his final dose in 3-4 weeks. He will be ready to go to his new home anytime after his second dose. We have a closed herd that is tested a few times a year and we will have the herd tested in the next couple weeks to know if any deworming is needed prior to any animals being picked up from the farm.

They are still on their mom for milk as we generally let the mom self-wean. They are on full feed, hay and grain as well as minerals.

We are also expecting our goat mama to have her babies in May. We will update when those are born.

🥩🍔🐖🥓‼️Discount on pork and beef combination purchase.‼️We still have some freezer beef we are trying to to sell now. Will be processed to your specifications how you like it. It’s being processed at Swicks custom butchering in Tustin Michigan. We’re selling by the 1/8, 1/4, 1/2 or whole. These are grain fed and finished. Price is $4.85 per pound of hanging weight. We also have some remaining freezer pork by the 1/2 or whole that is not spoken for yet, these will be cut to your specification as well. Our price on Pork is $3.50 per pound of hanging weight but we are doing a discount price of $3.25 per pound of hanging weight on pork when you purchase both pork and beef together. Any size beef combined with a purchase of a 1/2 or whole of pork is good for the discount. Please message us if you are interested or have any questions. We have pigs going to the processer this month. Price is $3.50 per lb hanging weight with processing cost covered with that price. Halves and wholes available. You get all cuts on these, including your smoked meat. Whole hogs weigh around 200 lbs. 1/2 a hog weighs around 100 lbs located in Paris 🥓🐖

Woke up this morning to a big surprise from buttercup the goat, twin boys! They are adapting well to the world and of course are just so cute. We are still thinking of names for them so if you have any ideas comment below. Baby #1 is all black. Baby #2 is brown, black, and has some white as well.

We will be pregnancy checking our goat “Momma” in the coming weeks to see if she will be surprising us with some babies this spring/summer. She went on her date with our buck “cookie” around November 13th and was left with him for several weeks. If she was bred right away, she will be due sometime between the middle to end of May.
