Today we are spotlighting our Public Relations Manager, Kaitlyn Patrick! Kaitlyn is a senior majoring in Public Relations and has found a passion for event planning, nonprofit and sports related work.

"A 'Then and Now' moment my grandparents shared with me was when they stated how fun it was growing up in the 50s. My grandmother said that 'American Graffiti' is her favorite movie because that really emulates how things were back then."

Kaitlyn's hometown is Woodhaven, Mich. She has expanded upon her event planning and public relations knowledge through holding leadership positions within her sorority, Public Relations Student Society of America and now Student Government. Kaitlyn has also had positions related to her field through on campus employment in the Center for Leadership, Activities and Career Services office and now with the News Services Department. This summer, Kaitlyn will seek out her next adventure as an intern for Make-A-Wish in Brighton, Mich.

"I wanted to become involved with this year's gala because of how prestigious the event is viewed on and off our campus. I also wanted to have more knowledge of the event planning side of public relations and what that all entails."
