💥 💥 2026 New Year BUCKLING CONTEST💥💥

December 1st generally marks the beginning of our annual buckling contest! I thought we may begin a couple days early since Dec 1st will be hectic for us.

If you’d like to participate, please like and follow our page, share this original post and comment with “done” or 👍🏼 to indicate you have done so. A Winner will be chosen January 1, 2026!

Buckling will be chosen based on winners herd goals and will be given at least 2-3 options once kidding is underway in Spring 2026.

Winner will be responsible for all transport costs but I will gladly work with transport. Our policy will still apply outside of monetary aspects.

A second place winner will be chosen and will receive a box of our Handmade Goat Milk Soaps shipped directly to them. The first place winner will be given the option of buckling or soaps.

Winner may choose from any existing available bucklings at the conclusion of the contest on January 1st If they so choose.

We don't grow our own blueberries (yet) so one of our favorite family summer activities is going blueberry picking! Our first haul of the year was 16 lbs. We'll probably go back in a few weeks and get more to stock up the freezer. Meanwhile we're reveling in the blue goodness!

Bathed and shaved a couple of juniors! These girls are only 10 weeks old and I'm already getting excited about breeding plans! Planning on taking them to their first show this fall. We still need some practice but they did better than I thought they would their first time on the collar.

My does and 12 week old kids just got into some chick feed!! I feel awful, it was partly my fault. I'm guessing they ate about 10 lbs between the 8 of them. No one is looking off yet but I'm giving MoM, probiotics and baking soda immediately. Is there anything else you would recommend? Activated charcoal? How often with the MoM and baking soda?
