Let's talk dominant white Ameraucana and recessive white Ameraucana..

I feel recessive white Ameraucana's are getting an unfair bad wrap right now with all the dominant white hype. Especially when dominant whites are DQ'S when it comes to the APA standards due to the color of their shanks.

Both dominant and recessive Ameraucana's have their special place in the Ameraucana breeding world. Dominant white is making beautiful ermines and recessive white is winning elite titles at APA shows amongst many other things. 💙🤍🩶

Dominant white Ameraucana and recessive white Ameraucana.. Every wonder what they look like side by side?? Wonder no more 🐔

I got some hatching eggs from a well known local Ameraucana breeder. They were supposed to be ermine, black, and dominant white..But when they hatched 1 grayish colored chick made its debut. That little grayish chick turned white over time. I had suspicions that it may be a recessive white. It'll find a new home before I ever know for certain.

Left is what I suspect is a recessive Ameraucana and right is a dominant white from my breeding pen. 💙🤍🩶

My doctor said I need to do more cardio, so I told him I already run a daily marathon consisting of chasing escaped goats🐐, throwing 100lb hay bales 🐎, wrestling feed bags🐔🐤, and sprinting away from a psycho rooster who thinks he owns the property. 🐓😂

This was 8 am this morning.. I assume I'll be well over 200% of my cardio goal by Sunday 😁
