We picked up a few from the trainer yesterday. Sending them out is not something we've ever done before, but we've known this trainer since he was a young pup. (Do we have trust issues? Probably.) He did a good job with them, just as we figured he would. We were getting low on riding horses in the string, so it's good to have them home.

Also, just a side note.... being a t**t waffle and trying to start arguments with other people on this page will get you banned in a hot minute. Nobody has time for that kind of internet drama. I wish you well, somewhere else, as I click the ban button. Buh-bye.

Crockett, growing and becoming more independent. We will wean the '25 babies after we get calves shipped next week. They should be a fun group to play with this winter.

Bearpaw Neenah, our 2025 keeper filly. This filly has one of the neatest personalities. She's a Nighthawk daughter that promises to be a little spitfire. Also, for those of you keeping track, she is definitely going gray. She will have a riding career, and that will determine if she makes it back into the broodmare band. I'm betting she will not disappoint.

Facebook has changed some things, and I am not real happy about the change.

The videos I post are automatically turned in to reels, and they are getting a whole lot more views than usual. It's bringing a lot of traffic to this page that we never used to have. Most of this traffic is pretty great, and I've enjoyed reading your comments. There have been a few though.... I have no desire, nor do I have the time to babysit the comment section on this page.

My first reaction has been to just delete the whole page. At the very least, I won't post videos anymore, because that's when these folks seem to appear. I don't post videos asking for opinions or critique. I also don't argue with strangers on the internet about our use of spurs, length of rope, foot placement in stirrups, or any other bu****it someone wants to tell us we are doing wrong. I will Delete and Block, and just to be clear, I am ruthless about protecting my peace. I like to save my arguing for face to face encounters, so if you feel like you really need to make a point, message me and make an appointment. Coffee's on.

Jose` (Hickernic) is a 24 year old QH that our kids used to ride. He's retired now, and turned out with a herd of other retirees. Once in awhile he carries a grandkid around a corral, but for the most part he is content to draw his pension and enjoy the easy life. I do think, though, he must miss cowhorsin' a little bit. As we took the herd through his field, he left the band of horses and gave us some help getting the cows to the gate. I have to admit, this gave my heart a good squeeze. We sure do love this old fella.

As soon as we get the fall herd work done, it will be weaning time for the babies. This year seems particularly busy, so I'm guessing these '25 kids won't get weaned until November. We will have one pure c**t to market once we get him weaned and remind him he's not feral.
