One of the best things about being the first and longest standing grocery store in Big Sky (50+ years) is you get to know everyone.
Young people starting out here decades ago, growing business and families; kids starting school, then jobs, and then careers. And eventually they start famlies and the amazing circle keeps going.
Those kids are having kids now and here we are three generations in. And even if they move away, they are always still family!! Big Sky Family.
Here's a Big Sky "family" and an amazing neighboring community that could use a helping hand up! This is what "supporting community" looks like in action. It looks like sending a couple bucks, asking it they need supplies and materials, finding out if you "know a guy" that might be able to provide aid. It's about jumping in and doing. And for no other reason than it's the right thing to do; it's how you hope your neighbors treat you.
We are thinking of you Maverick Mountain!
Keep fighting the good fight, Erik & Kristi (Knaub) Borge!
The Sand Creek fire burned through the Montana ski area earlier this month, damaging its lone chairlift and prompting a nonprofit-led fundraising effort.
