It’s important to remember that we do not care if you want to be a vegan. As farmers, ranchers and protein producers we understand that isn’t our choice to make for you.

However, we DO CARE when Veganism is pushed on our public from a political standpoint. It is not a legislators place to wage war against an industry that serves as their state’s economic backbone.

Many comments have been made such as...”clam down, it’s just one day”. This couldn’t be further from the truth, Colorado’s Governor Polis is known for his push of the Impossible Burger, made of soybeans which are not grown in Colorado. Governor Polis has chosen less then 5% of this appointees that represent sectors of our state, from east of I-25 (aka cattle country and most of our state’s biggest agricultural areas). Just to name a few other reasons why Colorado’s Agriculturists are so upset.

I will not be celebrating “Meat OUT Day” with Governor Polis. Instead my family will be taking care of our livestock all day and eating hamburgers for lunch!
