The corn is coming along nicely, should have some ready by the next farmers market! The new cream legbar and americauna chicks are thriving and growing so fast! I picked about 3 lbs of Anaheim chilis off two plants and will grill those up tonight for some burgers!

Well it’s been two weeks since we started raising quail on the farm and the kids tried grilled quail for dinner and eggs over easy for breakfast! They’re so brave, lol. It was a hit, so we are going to incorporate quail into the meal routine. They taste like chicken to me and the kids thought so, too! I’ve got about 44 eggs in the incubator which should hatch toward the end of next week!

I found an excellent use for some of the veggies the chickens won’t readily eat! The meal worms love them! I’ve never fed the worms anything other than potatoes and oats but as soon as I stuck these slices in there, they went nuts. Of course the worms and beetles will go to the chickens anyway!
