Lots of gardening has been going on the last month or so. Our resident green thumb, Deb, has been busy planting everything under the sun!! Lots of onions, potatoes, green beans, tomatoes, spaghetti squash, butternut squash, zucchini and yellow squash!! We even had volunteers popping up from last year! They are a bit unruly though, as they aren’t staying in the rows I made this year! 🤣 Shouldn’t be long now and we will be bringing goodies to the farmers market!

Exciting day on the farm today! I lost my bee hive late summer last year. Sometimes you never know why, but best I can tell is I lost my queen. It happens. Was sad to see it happen, but it happens. So back to square one this year. Swarm trap was put up April 1. And today we caught another one!! Starting over isn’t so bad when the bees are free!! Sorry, no pictures because we found them late this evening and got busy making preparations to move them. Hopefully we have better success this year!

Getting some good use out of my Christmas gift. Basement smells SO good with all these batches of tallow and goat milk soap scented with essential oils!! Getting stocked up and ready for farmers market season kicking off in May!!
