Here's something they don't tell you about raising healthy bison: sometimes the most important information on the ranch is lying right there in the pasture. π©
In this one, Nick breaks down something we pay close attention to every single day β what our bison's manure is telling us. We know it's not the most glamorous topic, but stick with us, because it's one of the most honest signals we've got.
The consistency, the color, how it breaks down β all of it tells us whether our animals are getting the right balance of protein and fiber from the rangeland. When something looks off, it's an early sign we need to move the herd or adjust our grazing. When it looks just right, we know the grass is doing exactly what it should, and our bison are getting everything they need straight from the land.
No shortcuts, no guesswork β just paying attention to the details most people never think about. That's what raising bison right actually looks like. πΎ
