First mead of the year!!! We're retooling names before we make them permanent with professional labels, so if anyone has suggestions for a strawberry mead name, we'd love to hear it! If we choose to use the name you suggest, then maybe there will be a surprise in it for ya! Everyday we get closer to commercial production and getting Five Bees Mead on shelves everywhere!

Hey all! We here at Five Bees have taken a little bit of a break from the process (obviously) but we are planning on making a roaring return in 2024. We have lots of great ideas and surprises coming up and we hope to post some recipes for you all to try! Thanks for your patience as we try to "lift off" and move forward with this project of love!!

Finally!!!! Mrs. Hollace's blackberry basil mead is ready!!! We were supposed to take a bunch of pictures along the way, but this is actually the second attempt. The first attempt literally exploded during settling and we're still picking glass out of one of our walls. After that, we got super serious and forgot to take pics. BUT.... we are mega happy with the way this came out and would like to start taking individual orders for people who wish to have a customized mead! Thank you Holly for being the first, and thank you all for being so patient with us and our big idea!

Hey everyone! We've been doing a lot of behind the scenes work on our mead and the chemistry behind it. As fun as throwing honey, water, and yeast in a bucket and making booze out of it is, there is a lot of science as well. We feel that we have done a great deal of learning in a short amount of time, and are ready to start uploading content again as we work towards distribution! Hi all! So, we're trying something new with customized, small batch meads. This is our first experiment simply named "Blackberry". This very tasty mead surprised both Lacie and I at how easy it is to drink and how strongly the blackberry flavor came through.
