The Post is a fully restored historic mailroom, available by the day for private events, business meetings, pop-ups, and celebrations of every kind. Sitting on Montana Avenue in the heart of walkable downtown Billings, it’s fully self-managed with no catering restrictions.

Renovated in 2025, The Post honors its mailroom history at every turn with original wood refinished, an updated bathroom with original wall tiles, and new mailroom units added as a nod to the building’s past. The result is a space that feels unmistakably Billings: historic bones & fresh, bright energy.

Over a century ago this beautiful, historic building was built as the centerpiece of Downtown Billings. It served as the venue of choice for many of the most important visitors in Billings’ history including presidents, governors, Hollywood celebrities and even visiting royalty. Today, the building has been lovingly restored and once again plays host to many of Billings’ most memorable celebrations.

The Billings Depot offers a dramatic, unique setting to host any event. The building is comprised of two main event spaces: the stunning passenger station, with its towering vaulted ceilings, roman columns, terrazzo floor and our signature high-arched window. The second space is the spacious baggage room featuring high ceilings, and original brick walls and wood floors.

Our event staff is exceptional ✨

The team has completed three formal trainings, earning certifications in conflict de-escalation (through BPD), alcohol service, and Autism Center awareness. Each staff member participated in training and successfully completed testing to receive certification.

This ongoing commitment reflects our dedication to providing a safe, professional, and high-quality experience for every guest.
