It's rare that we get a full Saturday off together, so we wanted to make the most of it 😋

We started off with brunch at The Downtowner and it definitely didn't disappoint! The restaurant was filled with vintage photos and memorabilia, and it had a warm vibe. They even had SpongeBob playing on one TV, and our millennial hearts knew we were in the right place 😂 We ordered 2 boozy iced coffees, the catfish and grits, and the French toast breakfast. Everything tasted amazing! The food was so comforting, the kind that will put you down for a nap lol.

Later in the day we decided to stop by Yum Tra Pass Road, which we've been wanting to try for a while now. There's so many things we wanna try there, but we started light this time with a Magical Moonlight (lychee and passion fruit) with kiwi boba and a Mango Sago Pomelo. Both were tasty and refreshing! 🧋

These days it's nice to be able to take a moment to enjoy the small things, and both of these places were a treat on a simple but nice day ☺️ Have you ever been to either one? Let us know 👇🏾 If not, we recommend both! 🫰🏾

🗣️ New Location. Inside Edgewater Mall. Boba Tea House! 🧋

Boba Tea House located in the mall was exciting to see cause boba is the new trend these days. I decided to try the Korean corn dogs and omgggg so good! I got both with just mozzarella, one with potatoes and one with hot cheetos. They both had such a good crunch. Although I didn't try the boba this time, go check them out and let us know what we should try next time!!

🔍 Random Jacksonville Finds 🔎

First up we have Celys Filipino Food at the farmers market! We got some lumpia and fried rice. Absolutely delicious!

Second we have Guanabana Jax, also at the farmers market, we got the raspberry pineapple smoothie. It was so fresh and it definitely kept us chilled in the heat!

Third we have Helloo Boba at The Avenues Mall and omg, we've never heard of a strawberry horchata boba tea but it was so good!

Last but not least Zen Dumpling, these dumplings had so much flavor and juiciness packed into such a small bite!

This past weekend we went to Jacksonville, FL for Lay Bradley's birthday 🥳 🎂
One of our vacation rituals is to go get coffee at a different place every morning, and that tradition is what led us to Gaa Cafe! It's bright and colorful inside with plants everywhere, so the vibe was definitely welcoming. We ordered a hot banana peanut butter latte and an iced ube latte, both were out of our comfort zones but they were so worth it! They have so many other options, food, and even mocktails. We definitely want to go back next time we're in town! If you're ever in Jacksonville stop by and support this woman-owned business, and let us know what you think! ☕✨

Good morning fellow foodies! Although we love food, we also love the community. Does anyone know of any shelters along the coast where we can donate clothes and shoes that will be given directly to people in need? We normally take things to Goodwill, but with the way things are we figured it would be much better to donate directly to the community. If you have any suggestions please let us know!

A couple weekends ago we tried the Hall About Flava food truck at the Tolu Smith tournament in Bay St Louis. We tried their seafood nachos, they were so good!! Full of shrimp, full of crawfish, and definitely full of Flava!! We also tried their seafood egg rolls, we didn't get a picture of them but omggg those were definitely the star of the show! The whole family was talking about them that day. Have you guys heard of or tried them out before? If not, follow them so you can see when they post their schedule! 😋

We've heard mixed reviews about Catch 110, so how has everyone else's experience been?

We went for a friend's birthday and we had a good time! The atmosphere was nice and the food was great as well. The spinach ricotta dip was so good we couldn't stop eating it 😩 For entrees we ordered were the seafood linguini and ch*****ne beurre blanc scallops which were both great, and Alicia is super particular about how her scallops are cooked so she really enjoyed it! Even the cheddar biscuits were buttery and flaky. Overall we had a great experience, we'd rate it a 9/10. Would you go or have you gone? Let us know! 🥰
