Just barely caught Micks’d Up Kitchen before selling out today and man, did I get lucky!

You can’t find BBQ like this anywhere else in Mississippi.

I got to try the smoked turkey — some of the juiciest I’ve ever had. The huge Maple Brandy Pork Belly was some insanely good pork belly, and the mustard drizzle on top takes it to the next level. He was out of the Habanero & Gouda sausage (I will be back for that!) However, the Black Pepper House Sausage was epic and had a little bit of spice of its own!

Kyle insisted that I try his Rosemary & Rye Cornbread and some Parmesan Potatoes, and I’m sure glad he did. I’m going to be asking for that cornbread every time I see him now and you can taste all the hard work he puts into those potatoes. These aren’t any typical side dishes; they are good enough to stand on their own, with each made completely from scratch and perfected.

Due to some technical difficulties with the Blackstone, these were made in the skillet with tallow. Melted Gouda, mayo, onion, and Grillo’s pickles. Simple but delicious! 🔥

They went perfect with the Saints game!

I’ve tried a lot of different charcoal, but B&B has stood apart from the rest. It lights fast, gets my pit up to temp quickly, and holds a coal bed longer letting my pecan splits to light clean and fast! 🔥

The Lump Oak is my go to.
