TODAY GOOD NEWS: Thursday, September 3 from 11:30-12:30 - The Greater Good Grocery Mobile Market Bus will be at the Girl Scout Building (in the Hamlet) - located at 2626 State Rte 26, Maine, NY 13802.

Stacey is the bus driver and check-out person all in one! She's pleasant - helpful - and always has a smile on her face!

As the Southern Tier's only non-profit grocery, after the operational costs are met, all profits go right back into the community through the free programs of The Broome County Council of Churches.

Anyone can shop on this mobile market - you do not need to be a resident of the area - and your income does not matter! It's even better than insta-cart because you get to choose your own items - it's affordable - and it's accessible to all! If the bus is parked, you are welcomed aboard by Stacey to shop for fresh produce - fresh fruit - staple groceries and even ice cream!! Plus for every 10 visits on your punch card, you get $10.00 of free groceries!! It's groceries at your doorstep!!

Research shows a link between lacking access to grocery stores that offer fresh, healthy food options, and higher rates of obesity, high blood pressure, cholesterol, and type 2 diabetes.

The Greater Good Grocery was founded to provide access to affordable, healthy foods in an area that had been a long time a food desert here in our community. When we opened in 2021 the north side of Binghamton had been without a traditional grocery store for over 25 years!

We've been working hard these last five years to provide fresh, nutritious foods to our neighbors here on the north side, and throughout the community via our Mobile Market Bus that makes stops county wide four days a week.

Greater Good Grocery is committed to making sure EVERYONE in our community has access to the healthy foods we all need to thrive!
