I hope I successfully captured the spirit of the Whole Foods Chantilly cake while staying compliant with Kansas Cottage Food laws (which doesn’t allow fresh fruit on/in baked goods). The almond frosting is so delicious and each color on the top/border is a different berry flavor.

Two more Baker’s Choice Boxes out the door! Get them while they’re available! One dozen JUMBO cookies each over 3oz boxed with tissue and ribbon. Variety of flavors based on current availability. Great for any occasion, as a gift, or “just because”. (They freeze well if you need to store them for later). Don’t hesitate because they are moving quickly!

Sometimes things don’t go as planned and I’m not afraid to share my mistakes. Wedding shower cookies for some book lovers! Cute set but I wrote the wrong last name on the book cover cookies (pic 1) even after double and triple checking the order details. Mistakes happen and the client was so gracious and understanding. I repaired it in a way that matched the set (pic 2) but learned my lesson.

My first wedding cake and cupcake display in the books! It was 3 fake tiers 12”/10”/8” and a 6” red velvet with cream cheese flavored buttercream and chocolate ganache center for the top tier. The cupcake flavors were Reese’s, Nutella, pineapple upside down, and white chocolate raspberry each with their own filling and flavored buttercream. My daughter wasn’t looking for perfection and was just proud that her mom learned how to do cakes specifically for this day. The cake was perfectly imperfect 🥰 but I’m really proud of it. I learned so much in the last 6 months of practice. I built my portfolio and got to share all those practice cakes with my taste testers and the staff/customers at Big Ed’s Steakhouse. I am so grateful for my sister Kelly who helped me with the cupcakes at the venue while I finished piping the cake, Bob who helped with the entire cupcake display, and for Matt who successfully moved the cake to the final destination on the table. I’m not sure about wedding cakes in the future of my business but this was one to remember!
