Pick Your Own Fruit

Business founder Amos Kauffman planted the first fruit trees about 1911 and started selling fruit at a roadside stand in 1915. Over the decades, the business has expanded by adding orchards from neighboring farms and creating new product lines such as Sweet Apple Cider and Homemade Apple Butter. Today, the 3rd, 4th, and 5th generations of Kauffmans operate this historic Lancaster County business.

🌳 BIRDS OF THE ORCHARD 🌳

|| Golden-crowned Kinglet ||
The Golden-crowned Kinglet is a small, active songbird that doesn’t nest in our orchard but passes through during its spring and fall migrations.
This pretty little bird can often be found moving quickly through trees and shrubs as it searches for insects and other tiny foods. This particular Golden-crowned Kinglet was photographed right here in the front yard of the farmhouse, giving us a glimpse of one of the many seasonal visitors that pass through our property. 🐦🌿🍎
