Why do we support TAKE Resource Center?

Despite being the historical bedrock of the movement for LGBTQ+ equality and liberation, transgender women of color still face discrimination and exclusion, even within their own communities. TAKE exists to identify challenges specific to TWOC and take action to impact individual lives, build community, and advocate for acceptance, healthy pathways, and fulfilled lives for our sisters.

Watch for BPX special menu items, programs and event announcements in support of TAKE and consider donating money, goods and supplies directly. You can also volunteer your time, special knowledge and skills - and most importantly - STAND WITH TRANS PEOPLE OF COLOR PUBLICLY, VOCALLY, AND VISIBLY.
