Game #1 against Chelsea, player of the week presented by Alfa Insurance - The Gray Agency goes to Maddox Gray. This one hit a little different. Proud of the game that all our players played. They had to be out in positions they had never played or practiced and we still played well as a team. So proud of all our guys for the game they played last night. The ball could’ve gone to several guys last night because that’s how well they all played.
The coaching staff always chooses the player, I just have the honor of gifting this ball to the deserving individual.

After some difficult circumstances early in the game, Maddox had to slide to a position he has never played before, to finish out the game as a key part of the secondary, on our very tough defensive unit.

Maddox had 8 tackles and 2 pass break ups.

Southside plays Hokes Bluff this coming Thursday in Hokes Bluff. Let’s show up and show out for our boys this week in the Bluff.

What an honor it was to be able to help sponsor our 1st responders awards day yesterday. It was a great ceremony put on by the Etowah Chamber. It’s been a long time coming to have these awards for our county. These guys are so selfless and serve our communities without hesitation.

This one was more than just a sponsorship to me. I am proud to be a small part of the 1st reponders community by serving with Southside Fire department and Attalla police department, so it hits home.

Great job to all involved putting this day on and thank you to all our 1st Responders out there.
