Thanks for all the love! Our time to close Getsum has come a little sooner than we expected.

Further to our letter published in today’s Bisbee Observer (page 5) we had hoped to open at least one more time this year.

The weather is great, the holidays are fun and our schedule allows for it so we thought we’d be open this Saturday…

However, a citizen of Bisbee registered a complaint to the city, about our signage (and some other things too I guess though we don’t have details). Therefore conversations with the city yesterday and the county today have resulted is our inability to open this weekend. We did have the blessing from the city but not the county.

In addition, according to a recent article in the Herald Tribune, new regulations for mobile food vendors within the City of Bisbee will come into play in early 2022, effectively disallowing many aspects of our current operation.

So, friends, it looks like last weekend was our last! We will shutter Getsum indefinitely, and hope to reopen when the conditions, time and place are right.
