Come one, come all to Fruitful Dakota U-pick Farm!

This Saturday only we’re opening the gates for U-Pick Black Currants from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
Black currants are small, dark, tart berries packed with flavor and nutrition. They’re one of the highest natural sources of vitamin C (several times more than oranges), loaded with antioxidants and anthocyanins, and have long been prized for supporting immune health, reducing inflammation, and overall wellness. Most people use them for:

Homemade jams, jellies, and syrups
Juices, cordials, and wines
Baking (pies, muffins, crisps)
Freezing for later use (great in smoothies!)
Sauces for meat or yogurt

They’re not the sweet “eat-out-of-hand” berry like a strawberry — they’re bold and tart, which is exactly why they make such outstanding preserves and drinks. Think gooseberries with attitude!

Easy driving directions from Bismarck:
Head east out of town on Highway 10 toward the Apple Valley housing development. Turn south on the paved road on the west side of the development. Cross the train tracks and keep heading south until you see the yellow sign (or turn left at the first gravel road). Continue to the next sign, turn south on the section line road, and go about ¼ mile. Look for the U-pick parking sign on the west side of the road.

Bring your own containers if you have them (we’ll have some available too). Cash preferred but can accept Venmo/Paypal also. The bushes are loaded and ready — come get some of the healthiest, tastiest berries you’ll find all summer!

Planted 1000 raspberry plants a few weeks ago, in addition to the 300 I planted last spring... Should be some production by mid August if things go well!
