šø A Bittersweet Goodbye from the Farm šø
After a lot of thought and prayer, I have decided to close Simpler Thymes Farmstead as a business.
This hasnāt been an easy decision. Growing flowers brings me so much joy, and sharing them with you made it even more special. But as life shifts, my priorities have to shift too.
The truth is, I donāt want to miss these last precious years with my kids at home. Theyāre growing up quickly, and I want to be there for all of it. The football games, track meets, lake weekends, family dinners, and quiet evenings together matter more to me now than ever.
This year, I wasnāt able to host events or open the farmstand like I hoped. With other commitments, unpredictable Oklahoma weather, rising production costs, and tough crop failures, it has become hard to keep the farm running as a business. Our familyās roofing business also needs my time and attention more than ever and it is what supports our home. Lately, Iāve found more peace in cooking dinner for my people than rushing out to water or harvest in the heat.
That said, I will never stop growing. I still plan to plant flowers and vegetables simply because I love it. It brings me peace and joy. So donāt be surprised if you see things pop up in the farmstand from time to time. It wonāt be for business. It will be just for fun, to share beauty and brighten someoneās day.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the love and support. Whether you picked flowers, visited the stand, or cheered me on from afar, you helped bring this dream to life.
Hereās to simpler times, sweet moments, and whatever comes next. š
With love,
Shawna
