We’ve been busy at the farm for the last few days with twins from Sundance’s Homemade Butterscotch and quadruplets from Eveland Farm’s Once in A Blue Moon. 4 doelings, and only 2 bucklings! All sired by Soaring Heart’s Sexual Healing B*.

This blue eyed, polled, registerable mini nubian girl is weaned and ready for new pastures. She is sired by Soaring Heart’s Dean David RN *B and her dam is 1/2 green gables. Adah Cookie kidded on Monday with very flashy twin boys. These two will be wethered and make a very pretty pair of pasture pets for someone. The mostly white boy has blue eyes, the darker one is covered in moonspots.

Sundance’s Aurora Borealis is searching for a new home! This girl was born last May and bottlefed, so she is very sweet and easy to handle. She is ready to be bred this fall and begin her milking career. Her dam has perfectly sized and placed teats, and a nice capacious udder, peaking at just over a gallon per day. Her sire has his inherited milk star, and is from the accomplished Soaring Hearts farm. Half sister also available. Please PM for more information.

*Breeding Highlight*

Sundance’s Adah Cookie, bred to Soaring Heart’s Sexual Healing *B is due in a week! This is an exciting breeding not only because these will be our first kids from Sexy, a buck with a highly decorated pedigree, but because of the number of possible colors/patterns the kids could have. We don’t specifically breed for color, but it certainly adds a bit of fun! The possibilities for colors/patterns from this breeding are: buckskin, red-cheek, black, moonspots, roaning, heavy white, and blue or brown eyes.

Coco is “udderly” convinced that she gave birth to Luna’s triplets the night before last. I separated them from Luna so I could milk her in the morning, and Coco was licking and nursing them like newborns. I’m hoping that this will make her milk production come up. I’ve been milking her since last May. The babies certainly aren’t complaining, they’re stealing all my milk!

May 2024 Mini Nubian Doelings

I wasn’t in a huge hurry to part with these girls, but a flooded basement changed my mind! They can go separately, but will be reduced if they go together. The doeling with roaning and a belt is polled, the other is disbudded. Both were bottle-fed and are very easy to handle. I am currently milking both of their mothers. PM with any questions.

First kids of the year! Luna had triplets on the 2nd, this was her first kidding. The two bezoar (brown) ones are girls, the black one is a boy. All 3 have blue eyes. I believe the larger girl is polled, but the smaller girl with longer ears will be disbudded. These kids are 1/2 Soaring Hearts and 1/4 Green Gables lines. All three will be seeking new accommodations once weaned. The girls will be wonderful registered dairy goats, the boy will be wethered to go as a pet/brush goat. Located in Blachly, OR. I’ve been slacking on keeping my numbers down this year, and I need to make some more room in my barn before the next round of kidding starts! All are miniature nubians. Clean tested herd, all goats either polled or disbudded.
I have 4 wethers from this year and a 2-year-old doe (without papers) that are seeking pet placements.
I also have 2 registerable doelings and a registered blue-eyed buck up for consideration. The doelings are sired by Soaring Heart’s Dean David RN *B, one doeling is polled. I am currently milking both of their mothers, they are lovely dairy goats.

We have 4 mini nubian kids currently available, they are on bottles so they can go any time, or stay until they are weaned. Two registered doelings, and two pet wethers. All sired by Soaring Heart’s Dean David RN *B. The older, solid brown doeling is daughter of Eveland Farm’s Dark Chocolate. The white spotted doeling is daughter of Sundance’s Crumb and is polled. We’ve been busy the last couple weeks! Triplets for Coco on the 10th, and now quads for Crumb on the 18th. All 7 are strong healthy kids, the quads surprised me with how fast they were all up and nursing. One doeling and three bucklings in this batch from Crumb. The doeling will be available registered, and the three boys will be sold as pet wethers.
