Today, Cam and I pause to honor the brave men and women who gave so much for our country and our freedoms.
We remember their sacrifice with grateful hearts and quiet respect. 🇺🇸

There’s a very small friend in Cam’s world.

His name is Milo.

You’ll usually find him tucked quietly behind Cam’s ear, nestled into his mane, close enough to see everything from a very different view.

Milo doesn’t carry strength the way Cam does, but there is something steady about him...something thoughtful...the way he listens, watches, and chooses courage in quiet ways.

Some friendships aren’t loud.

Some are simply… always there.

This is just a small glimpse into who he is...Milo...illustrated by Academy Award winning artist, Chad W Greene.

Before any color is added… before the light and depth come in… every illustration in Cam, Horse of Kings begins just like this.

Simple. Black and white. Done completely by hand.

There’s something about this stage that I really love — the lines, the movement, the way the story is already there… just waiting to be brought to life.

This is a small glimpse into the work of Chad W Greene, who has created every piece for this book with so much care and detail (and yes… he also happens to be an Academy Award–winning artist, which still feels a little surreal to me.)

The illustrations are now complete, and the book is moving into the layout phase with the publisher.

There’s something really special about these early sketches… it’s where it all begins.

There’s a kind of strength that doesn’t need to prove itself.

Cam is powerful… that part is easy to see.

But what I notice more is how aware he is. Even in moments like this, he’s paying attention, thinking, staying careful about the space around him.

There’s something about that quiet awareness that matters more than the power itself.

It’s just there. And that’s the part I love most about him.

He knows exactly what he’s doing…

One moment, he’s standing tall, commanding the space, drawing every lens, every eye and effortlessly stealing the scene.

And the next…
he softens.

Leaning in just enough…
breathing quietly…
meeting people right where they are.

Because Cam isn’t just here to be seen,
he’s here to connect.

Every photographer gets their shot…
but more than that, they leave with a moment they didn’t expect.

That’s the magic of him. ❤️

Always ready to wow the crowd…
and just as ready to meet you in the quiet.

Wait until you see what’s coming. 😍

Sometimes, strength looks like this.

A quiet moment.
A lowered head.
A child stepping close without fear.

And sometimes…

it looks like something entirely different.

But the most remarkable thing about Cam
is not his power—

it’s that he knows exactly how to hold it.
It all strength needs to be seen to be real.

There’s a reason this story had to be written.

Long before there were pages, or illustrations, or a manuscript to send…

there was a quiet kind of presence.

Cam has always had a way of meeting people exactly where they are.

He doesn’t rush.
He doesn’t force.
He simply stays.

And somehow, in that stillness, people begin to see something in themselves they didn’t notice before.

Cam, Horse of Kings is more than a story.

It’s a reflection of something real.
Some things are meant to be felt, not explained.
