Come work in the garden this year!
Does your local high schooler need volunteer hours for National Honor Society, Key Club, or any other reasons? We need help on the farm.
Parents, we are compiling a list of email or phone numbers so when the weather forcast is good we can reach out to your teens that need hours and see if they are available to volunteer on the farm.
The farm work will start with clearing out the garden weeds and cleaning up the greenhouse. We will install hail net hoops. Learn how to start seeds indoors and transplant them outside. We will be sowing seeds directly into the ground too. Weโll set up the watering system. Maintaining weeds throughout the season. And when garden is ready for harvest they can bring things home with them that they helped grow and harvest.
Some other farm work for any kids interested and still needing hours will be working in the chicken coop, the goat pen, helping to dig holes for fences and gates. And if they are wanting to learn fencing they can help us with that when the time comes. We are also digging out a spot for an above ground duck pond and building a ramp for the duck to get in and out.
We have lots of growing and learning different trades here on the farm for those interested.
We look forward to teaching to those that want to learn.
Send me a message or text me to get on our email or phone list!
