We have honey!!
Although we won't have extracted our sourwood honey in time for the festival, we do have wildflower currently bottled and should have sourwood in the upcoming weeks

It's that time of year again. We're extracting honey today and will be bottling it this week. This year we have all wildflower honey which is a wonderful mix of local plants and trees our bees have visited all summer long.

We have 4 hives hoping to make some sourwood honey this year if this big guy will please leave them alone.

In the glow of an autumn evening, we added more bees to the existing hive in hopes of making a hive that is strong enough to make it through the winter.

Sadly we must let you know that we will not be selling our honey this year. Our bees did not survive last winter and never really built up enough stores of honey this summer after restarting with all new bees. We are working to help them fill their "kitchens" to hopefully make it through this winter so that next year we can share the golden harvest.

It's candle time! We will make candles by special order as long as we have wax to melt. We do not currently purchase bulk wax so what our bees made is all we have. You can order here in the comments or by sending us a message.

Wow! Sourwood honey is almost gone! If you are planning to buy any for yourself or as a Christmas gift please let us know so that we can get it to you before we sell out. Next year we will have to sweet talk the bees into working harder during sourwood season!
