Let's learn Brioche!

Many people think Brioche knitting is difficult, but once you get the hang of it, it becomes very meditative. Together, we will make Brioche easy. We have a Zoom and In Person class.

This is a three-part class:

1. Cast-on and starting the brioche stitch
2. Check-in
3. Decreases

We will be knitting the Harlow Worsted by Andrea Mowry.

I had the pleasure of test knitting tori yu Rhinebeck Raglan. If you are looking for the ultimate squishy, cozy sweater, this one is calling your name! It is a beautifully textured sweater with an easy-to-memorize pattern, making it both portable and engaging to knit.

I cannot say enough about how well-written this pattern is and how much work Tori put into it. The sweater is worked top-down with compound raglan increases. All you need to do is follow your size—Tori has mapped out the increases so they fall perfectly into the texture pattern. I knit my version two inches shorter for a slightly cropped fit and paired it with the Arthur Pants from Sew Liberated. I enjoyed knitting this sweater so much!

I knit mine in Harrisville Designs Highland in the colorway Blackberry, and this yarn was amazing to work with. It offers the perfect combination of rustic squish and beautiful stitch definition, making it the ideal choice for this project.

We have yarn kits available in the shop featuring Harrisville Highland. If you don't see a color combination you like, we have plenty of individual skeins available for you to choose your own.

The DRK Everyday Saddle sweater by DreaReneeKnits is sure to become your new wardrobe staple. The saddle shoulder detail adds a touch of flair to this classic piece, keeping the knit engaging from start to finish. I chose a color that pairs effortlessly with almost everything in my closet, and I know I'll be reaching for it again and again.

I used De Rerum Natura Gilliatt for my version. It was a joy to knit, and the finished sweater goes with just about everything.

I have loved ice dyeing these hoodies for the shop! It has been so much fun playing with different colors.

These are Comfort Colors hoodies, which are super soft and cozy, and each sweatshirt is truly one of a kind.

When we were taking photos of me wearing this oversized sweatshirt and beanie, the whole outfit made me feel like I was back in high school and I'm not upset about it—I actually did always have a tea in my hand!

Tomorrow marks the end of our Sk8er Hat KAL! I had to restart mine, so I am a little behind, but it was definitely worth it.
